This is my aunt’s recipe. We make it often because there’s not many ingredients in it, and I usually have them all on hand. When it’s a family dinner, I double it and put it in a 9×13 glass dish.
1 cup flour
Sift above ingredients together.
½ cup milk
2 Tbsp. corn oil
1 tsp. vanilla
Add to above and mix only until smooth. Turn into greased 2 quart baking dish.
1 cup brown sugar, packed
4 Tbsp. cocoa
Mix above ingredients and sprinkle over batter. Pour 1 ½ cups boiling water over the top.
Bake at 350° for 30-40 minutes.
