I’ve had these cookies with a white, creamy icing – any ideas?

I would think a buttercream icing would be good – cream cheese might be too much! Strawberry frosting sounds good too! – Lazywife

i have had these cookes also. But they did not have the nutmeg in it. It also had a frosting on it. Do you have a recipe that you can reccomend for your cookie and the cookie without the nutmeg. I do not have a good frosting recipe for cookies.

My grandmother always made these cookies at Christmas time or whenever we craved them. She never left out the nutmeg, we droped the cookies on the sheet and then pressed them down with out clean fingers, no frosting was ever needed. The best part is even my kids love them. They were a hit with all our Son’s troops in Irag,
